Denmark to lift restrictions from February 1

Denmark has confirmed it will lift COVID-19 restrictions from February 1 despite record case numbers.

The Nordic country will be the first region in the EU to fully lift restrictions.

Residents will no longer need to wear masks, nightclubs will reopen, and vaccine passes won’t need to be shown upon entry into venues.

Testing and isolating upon entry into Denmark will be the only rule left in place and will remain for the next four weeks.
