Challenge: How hard is it for an American to make authentic Mexican food? Today I’m going to find out by trying to cook one of my favorite dishes: Guerrero, Mexico style Pozole Verde!!
In this Mexico vlog, I used this recipe by Sabores de Mexico to try and make Pozole Verde:
Before starting, I faced some challenges at the grocery store trying to find all the ingredients. Once I started trying to cook the food, it got even more difficult as I find numerous ambiguities in the recipe instructions. At one point, I did have to “phone a friend” to get clarification on the Spanish instructions and translation.
Throughout the process, I made one hilarious mistake after another, despite my best efforts. It was only after preparing this Mexican food recipe for over 3 hours that I was FINALLY able to serve and eat!
